About Access Therapy
Our Story
Michelle started Access Therapy in 2015 with a view to providing quality occupational therapy services to people with a disability throughout the Sydney and surrounding areas. Access Therapy, occupational therapy practise is dedicated to providing exceptional services to people with complex physical, neurological and neuromuscular conditions.
Access Therapy was first registered to provide therapeutic supports and home modifications under the National Disability Insurance Scheme in 2016 when the scheme rolled out across Western Sydney. We have continued to provide occupational therapy since that time as those receiving plans under the NDIS has continued to expand.

Michelle graduated as an Occupational Therapist from the University of Sydney in 2002 and has worked with people with a disability since that time. She is a current member of the NSW and Australian Association of Occupational Therapists and registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency through the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia. Michelle was registered to practice as an Occupational Therapist with the Health Professionals Council of the United Kingdom from 2004-2011.
Michelle’s professional experience covers the lifespan from paediatric to aged care clientele. She has worked in private practice, hospital and rehabilitation units and for disability service providers (in Australia and the United Kingdom) as a Senior Occupational Therapist.
Michelle has spent most of her career working with people with complex disabilities in the community. She has extensive experience in occupational therapy assessment, reporting, pressure care, manual handling, complex equipment prescription and home modifications.
In 2015 Michelle commenced work as an expert witness providing medico legal assessment and opinion while establishing a small private practice. She has provided expert testimony in court and continues to provide medico legal opinions in complex cases as a contractor.
Michelle continues to provide occupational therapy to paediatric and adult clients and has a special interest in complex conditions including multiple sclerosis, muscular dystrophy, spina bifida and various other neurological conditions.
